Nadine Angerer has been one of the very finest soccer players in the world for decades. She decided to end her career this year as the goalkeeper for the Portland Thorns, and I was fortunate enough to cover her final home game for the DPA. Angerer is an amazing example of a grateful sportswoman and I'm glad to have witnessed a small, but significant, part of her career.
